Araghchi flies to Tashkent for OIC session

TEHRAN, Oct. 17 (MNA) – Iran's Deputy FM Seyyed Abbas Araghchi left Tehran for Tashkent on Monday to take part in OIC Meeting for 43rd Council of Foreign Ministers.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will not participate in the meeting because of other preset programs, and Abbas Araghchi will head Iranian political delegation in his official visit to Uzbekistan.

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the second largest intergovernmental organization after the United Nations. It currently has 57 member and 5 observer states in 4 continents.

The 43rd session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will be held in Tashkent on October 18-19, with Uzbekistan presiding over the meeting.
